MIDI Program Change not working with VST3 in Ableton Live

Hi, I am trying to use MIDI Program Change to change presets in Ableton Live. It works fine with the VST version, but not with the VST3 version. Yes, I have the option selected to allow MIDI PC to change presets.

Same behavior with the Surrealistic MG-1 Plus VST3.

Is this a problem with Ableton's VST3 implementation? Anyone know how to solve this?

Hi,

We don't support that in the VST3 version, so your best bet is to use VST or a different plugin format.

Instead of using old style MIDI PC, is there any other way to automate preset changes in Ableton Live with your VST3?
