P.moon has published LFSR module. That is a virtual Linear Feedbacked Shift Register based on a design of Italian mathematic Leonardo Fibonacci. Similar circuits are used for encoding data streams and to create CRC check sums.

LFSR produces a stepped semi random CV as well as gate and trig signals. These can be used in generative music presets to create reproducable pseudo random melodies and rhythms.

Because of finite number of register stages, provided CV values will repeat after distinct number of clock pulses. Some patterns seem to be rather randomly, others repeat after 8 clock steps already.

Created signals depend of just two values, that must be defined as start condition. These values may be set by CV or manually.

Help file contains links to several example presets. Mainly these presets consist of CA modules. There are only some P.moon modules used. If you down own these modules, you can use DEMO versions for test.

Please note: When initial values are input by CV, some other controls are disabled. At the moment disabled toggle buttons will not be displayed with actual states. CA is working to fix that issue with next VM update.
