Velocity Sensitivity

PS-3300 is an exactingly faithful virtual analog emulation of the massive semi-modular analog polyphonic synthesizer released by Korg in 1977.

Velocity Sensitivity

Post by jl4nius68 »

Hi! I am really enjoying getting to know this new synth. One question: I have searched the documentation and clicked through all options on the interface, but cannot find where to adjust/program velocity sensitivity. Some of the presets have velocity sensitivity built in (one example: Basil's Brass), but there is not a patch cable from the KEYB VEL OUT jack and I can't find where to adjust it in MIDI settings or elsewhere. I am using an external controller, not the MTK controller. Any ideas how I can access/adjust this in existing presets or save it in new patches I create? Thanks.

Keyboard Velocity is available at this output (red arrow). Here's a patch that routes velocity to the cutoff of all three filters.

Thank you, but if you read my post there are several presets that are velocity sensitive without use of the KEYB VEL OUT. See e.g., Basil's Brass and Bass It. Load those presets and experiment with velocity - both amplifier and filter are affected by velocity and there is no patch cable.

Ah sorry. I didn't read closely enough. But I found the answer. The Envelope Mod section of each voice has Velocity Amount, and that envelope is being used by the VCF. So, more velocity, stronger envelope/vca. If you turn that Vel Amount down on all three voices in Basil's Brass, you'll lose that velocity filter control.
